Welcome to The Place

What is The Place?

Based in Sanderson Community House, The Place provides activities for children, young people and adults who live locally.

The Place is open Monday to Friday, and each week we have an exciting programme of free activities on offer for the whole community to get involved with. Find out what's on at The Place.

Partner with us

Whilst The Place programme has a main focus on children and young people, we know the impact that supporting a whole community can have. We are committed to partnering with local residents, organisations, charities and employers who can provide their services and expertise in Sanderson Community House to local residents of all ages.

Contact us for more information and to discuss how we can work together.

Our vision

Our collective vision is to provide a safe space for children and young people to learn and grow and for adults to connect and access support.

At The Place we are focused on improving the lives of children who live in the local area and will do this by working directly with young people, in partnership with the adults who live alongside them, investing in an area that has been underserved.

With a firm belief in the power of education to transform lives, The Place will empower young people and adults to realise their potential and aspirations.

The Place is about opening opportunities for all, helping children to reach their full potential by improving well being and mental health, growing confidence and happiness and supporting a community to access support, advice and services.
